London 2012

I am totally not the sporty kind.  Not interested in watching it, not interesting in taking part in  it, not interested.  But, like many, I was, nonetheless, captivated by the Olympics and found London 2012 really exciting: not least because Team GB did so well – go Team GB!!

Richmond Daddy and I were lucky enough to have tickets to go to the athletics on the day that Jessica Ennis began her bid for gold and saw her run in the 200m hurdles and compete in the high-jump.  We also went back for a second day of athletics and saw some random things like pole-vaulting, as well as relay heats.  And finally, we went to see the taekwondo and saw Lutalo Muhammad take bronze for Team GB: I found it a bit hard to follow, but it was exciting to see our guys win a medal even if I didn’t really know what was going on!

We didn’t bring Allegra with us on our Olympic adventures, apart from not having a ticket for her, it would have been too busy and too hot and therefore too stressful!  So she enjoyed some quality time with the grandparents.

Here are some pics from our London2012 experience:
