Mwahahahahahahahahahaha yes, it’s Halloween… Happy Halloween all you witches and wizards out there! We haven’t entirely embraced Halloween this year, there are no expertly carved pumpkins adorning our front path, no bats hanging from the light fittings, and the only cobwebs evident are those in the far reaching corners, nooks, and crannies of the house that the cleaner hasn’t been thorough enough to hoover away… annoying.
But, one thing of course we HAVE been sure to do, is to take the time to dress up little Miss Allegra for the spooky season (never one to miss an opportunity to get her into some cute fancy dress, obvs!) and this year her costume of choice is a little witchy number, courtesy of Asda:
Aaaah, doesn’t she look adorable?!? well of course I would say that wouldn’t I, but truthfully, I loved this little witches dress -complete with hat (which she needed some persuading and the promise of cake to wear) – and she looked a treat in it, even though I struggled to find any black tights for her to wear with it and had to opt for not very spooky pink instead!
I was lucky enough to be invited to Asda’s Spooktacular Halloween press event a few weeks ago, where I got the chance to preview all their fangtastic (ahem, sorry) Halloween lines from candy to cakes, costumes to decorations, and it wasn’t long before I’d spotted the very cute witches outfit and earmarked it for Allegra. Plus, at £6, it is super cheap and perfect for a one-off wear (although Asda very kindly gave Allegra one for free, for the purposes of this review – thank you!).
In fact, if you are hosting or going along to a Halloween party this weekend, then I’d definitely recommend swinging by your local Asda store because they have some great Halloween goodies. Here are a few of my favourites spotted at the press show:
