Do you live in/near Richmond? Are you a Dad? Then you need to get yourself along to Dad Day at the Old Town Hall on a Saturday morning! Richmond Daddy has been taking Allegra (and sometimes baby C) for the last few weeks and together they have created…
…Apparently inspired by Picasso’s 1937 work “Portrait of Dora Maar Seated” – beautiful. I think she captured the colours particularly well… ahem.
Then there was this sea-life inspired work: “Octopus”…
And latterly, this rather adorable work in newspaper and tissue paper and feathers and card: Daisy the Dinosaur…
Who even enjoyed a trip to the playground after her creation…
Allegra has REALLY enjoyed her Saturday morning trips off with Daddy to Dad Day crafting and it has given them some lovely one-to-one time, without me hovering over the two of them and of course, I get to enjoy a couple of hours of time to myself (during which I usually end up doing house stuff or other chores – yes, get the violins out! – but I do enjoy a bit of peace and quiet and alone time regardless).
So, if you’re a Dad living locally and you fancy giving it a go, Richmond Daddy gives it the thumbs-up, so here’s what you need to know:
